Squadkit is now Limitless! For our loyal supporters, you will know how closely we work with and love their work and therefore we wanted to honour the rebrand.

We might be biased, but we don’t think that there is a better group of people to celebrate this than the dynamic duo at SportSpiel, GB Hockey’s Olympic Gold (2016) and Bronze (2012) Medallist, Kate Richardson – Walsh OBE, England Rugby’s Justine Lucas and Zoe Harrison with a Women’s Sport Podcast Special.

The new name of Limitless is born out of the commitment to inspiring a healthy and active generation and enabling anyone to enjoy a life-long sporting confidence. Style, fit and the specific needs of growing bodies are often overlooked. Limitless delivers technical kit that is hardworking, comfortable and flattering – the first step to getting young people excited about sports - on the pitch, the court, the gym and the track.

“You can be any body type!” says Zoe.

In a very open discussion, this special group of empowering female role models tackle the societal issues that face women and girls in sport regarding kit and body image. The honesty from their own experiences will allow the younger generation to realise that they are not alone in the anxieties surrounding body confidence. Hearing this truthfulness from a positive role model that has achieved so much will normalise the discussion and we hope that will gather momentum around the change that is needed, particularly surrounding stereotypes.  Like Limitless, we believe everyone should enjoy physical activity and interest in a healthy lifestyle starts early. We want young people to have the confidence to live their lives without limits and enjoy the improved health and wellbeing that comes with it.

“It’s down to us as role models to advocate this. You’ve got to see it to be it!”  says Justine.

So, what are you waiting for? Listen to Alasdair Hooper and Will Moulton host the special episode here and let’s make the positive change that is needed.

Thank you very much to the Limitless and SportSpiel teams for making this brilliant episode possible and we are looking forward to lots more to come in the near future particularly as we navigate our school programmes in the current pandemic.

The Mintridge Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to enhancing life skills in young people through sport. We provide a support network for young people by harnessing the power of positive sporting role models. The Mintridge Foundation assists young people of all ages, abilities and physical capabilities to develop confidence and resilience, and creates awareness of the importance of mental and physical wellbeing through sport.

Our team of Ambassadors  - Olympians, Paralympians and other professional sports stars from over 20 sports, both team and individual - work with young people in schools, clubs and academies across the UK. Starting with visits including assemblies, coaching clinics and classroom sessions tailored to each organisation’s requirements, our ambassadors can then provide one- on- one remote mentoring in a safeguarded environment, delivered via technology such as FitSwarm and Skype and Playwaze to build a lasting legacy for individuals.

The Mintridge Foundation’s successes demonstrate the incredible power of sport; from a mentee’s selection to represent Great Britain in their chosen field to enabling disabled children to find confidence and happiness just through participation. Understanding life after sport, we also support our Ambassadors in their transition from active sport to the next stage of their careers.
