Together with Minty, we can make this a feel good and purposeful Christmas

#SmallBusinessStar

This December is going to be a little different to others that we have celebrated at Mintridge HQ, but we are DETERMINED to end 2020 in the most positive way possible.

Our registered charity is dedicated to enhancing life skills in young people through sport and we want to continue to make a difference to them despite the challenges that we have faced through the Covid-19 Pandemic.

To do this, we are looking for small businesses to become a #smallbusinesstar, shining extra brightly with The Mintridge Foundation Advent Calendar. 2020 will be the most socially driven Christmas to date.

We want to shine a light on purposeful businesses (a staggering £450,000 has been donated by 321 small businesses via Work For Good since April 2020). We will help both small businesses and the charity sector to have long term sustainability while getting all of that Christmas shopping done at the same time!

Profit and purpose – that sounds like a win – win to us! Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy, and after all, those Ambassadors of ours always talk about the benefits of teamwork!

What Is The Mintridge Foundation Advent Calendar?

This year, we are partnering with Work For Good to celebrate Giving Tuesday and #GiveBack2020 on 1st December and beyond.

We would like to work alongside 24 small businesses to select a single day between 1st and 24th December.

On your chosen day:

The Mintridge Foundation will shout from the roof tops about the amazing work that you do (to our supporters, Ambassadors and through all of our online channels). This will be hidden initially behind Minty’s closed doors.

Set your goal; how do you as a business want to #GiveBack?

For example, you could pledge a proportion of your sales from your product or service on your chosen day. This is exactly what our Nutrition Partners at Nibble Protein will be doing on 2nd December with anyone that uses the code “Minty15” at checkout. They have also generously donated a yummy but nutritious box of healthy brownies for one of Minty’s lucky supporters to enjoy.

…And the best news of all…

Work For Good will double your donation (up to the value of £500 and until funds remain)!

Like, we said… Profit and purpose!

How Can We Get Involved As A Small Business?

1)      Sign up for free at Work For Good (if you haven’t already done so) referencing The Mintridge Foundation when prompted.

2)      Select a date between 1st and 24th December that you would like to be hidden behind Minty’s Advent Door.

3)      Work alongside Alex Wallace at the Mintridge Foundation to finalise how you intend to celebrate your day with Team Mintridge as a #SmallBusinessStar!

4)      Through Work For Good, pledge a donation to us on your chosen day and they will double your donation (up to the value of £500 and until funds remain)!

5)      Minty will receive your generous donation and use it to HARNESS THE POWER OF POSITIVE SPORTING ROLE MODELS to encourage greater physical and mental wellbeing for young people as we move ahead to 2021.

PS Minty is Mintridge’s Mascot and she always has so many ideas about how to stay active. You can check some of them out here.

Together, we can make real change and please get in touch with Alex Wallace should you wish to learn a little more about this exciting campaign.

#GiveBack2020

The Mintridge Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to enhancing life skills in young people through sport. We provide a support network for young people by harnessing the power of positive sporting role models. The Mintridge Foundation assists young people of all ages, abilities and physical capabilities to develop confidence and resilience, and creates awareness of the importance of mental and physical wellbeing through sport.

Our team of Ambassadors  - Olympians, Paralympians and other professional sports stars from over 20 sports, both team and individual - work with young people in schools, clubs and academies across the UK. Starting with visits including assemblies, coaching clinics and classroom sessions tailored to each organisation’s requirements, our ambassadors can then provide one- on- one remote mentoring in a safeguarded environment, delivered via technology such as Skype and Playwaze to build a lasting legacy for individuals.

The Mintridge Foundation’s successes demonstrate the incredible power of sport; from a mentee’s selection to represent Great Britain in their chosen field to enabling disabled children to find confidence and happiness just through participation. Understanding life after sport, we also support our Ambassadors in their transition from active sport to the next stage of their careers.
