GRACE HARRISON
Gymnastics
Grace was born and raised on the Isle of Man
and that is where her gymnastics journey began. At 3 years old, she went to baby gymnastics classes and never looked back from there. Grace worked her way up through the levels, competing in multiple national and international competitions.
Grace represented the Isle of Man at 4 Island Games, with Bermuda 2013 being a key highlight as she came away with a total of 10 medals, 5 of them gold. Grace also competed in 5 Northern European Championships, making a total of 4 individual finals.
2014 was the biggest year of her career
after she made the decision to defer a year before going to University, becoming a full-time gymnast and focusing completely on training for the
Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. At the Games, Grace qualified for the All-Around
final, becoming the first Manx female gymnast to reach a final at the Commonwealth Games.
Alongside gymnastics, Grace has always
focused on her education. Following Glasgow 2014, she went to Loughborough University, where she graduated with a First Class degree in Sport and Exercise Science, and has further completed her Masters degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology.
Having since retired from competitive
gymnastics, Grace is enjoy supporting and inspiring the next generation of upcoming athletes.
