JADE WINDLEY
Tennis

Jade Windley is a former professional tennis player and has proudly represented Great Britain throughout her career. Jade has won 19 professional titles and has achieved her lifelong dream of competing in the main draw of The Championships, Wimbledon.

Growing up, Jade balanced her schoolwork alongside her tennis training; this developed discipline and responsibility from a young age. Whilst at school, Jade became British Junior number 1, competed twice at the prestigious Junior Wimbledon event and proudly won a bronze medal for England at the Commonwealth Youth Games in India. After having achieved 11 GCSE’s and 3 A Levels, Jade made the decision to become a full-time professional tennis player.

During her professional career, Jade suffered two separate serious injuries. However, through hard work, huge desire and a great support team, Jade overcame these challenging times to play the sport that she loved for a living. Jade has travelled to over 40 different countries, competing against the best players in the world, including her childhood dream of Wimbledon.

Unfortunately, injury struck again in 2014, when Jade was involved in a car accident. She made the decision to take a break from the professional game with her body being in a bad way. Although this was a tough moment in Jade’s career, exciting and new opportunities have since arisen in the form of her work as an Athlete Mentor.
