An Update From The Mintridge Foundation

An Update From The Mintridge Foundation

The Mintridge Foundation’s fantastic Katie Smith leaves her role as Operations Director on 7th June after a memorable 6 years with the Foundation. Katie’s role has been to work with the schools, look after the Ambassadors and to keep the office functioning behind the scenes.

It’s been a period of growth and development with the Foundation starting as a small organisation, moving into a charity, and now heralding over 40 sporting Ambassadors. The evolution is something Katie feels privileged to be part of the journey so far.

We are sure you will join us in wishing Katie the very best of luck as she embarks on pastures new, we are very grateful and extremely lucky to have had her skills, expertise and dedication at the Mintridge Foundation. Katie you will be sorely missed.

I never thought anyone would be as ridiculously passionate about the wonderful world of Team Mintridge as me, and then along came Katie Smith. Katie is not just a colleague to me, she has become a dear, dear friend who I hold in the highest regard. Katie’s commitment, passion and knowledge has enabled Mintridge to go to the dizziest of heights, all while keeping us all VERY much in check. Katie has been integral to the Foundation’s success (even taking it global to Paris in its formative years). Her wealth of knowledge of the education sector, her ability to finish my sentences when I become too emotional and above all, the JOY that she has brought to so many lives is quite simply, irreplaceable. Thank you, Katie – thank you so very much. You are a very special person.

What a journey…

Six years ago, I would never have imagined that I would spend my days inspiring the next generation as part of Team Mintridge and be able to personally learn so much from the way our Ambassadors approach their lives and inspire others to achieve their own success.

Over the years, it has been incredibly fulfilling to work with the team and see the hope and light we bring to young people’s lives during our daily mission. I feel immensely proud and privileged to have been surrounded by good people, who are all trying to do their bit to make the world a better place. We have inspired thousands of young people along the way and helped create lifelong memories, which I will always be grateful for.

I cannot thank Alex, Jo, the Trustees, and all the Mintridge family enough for the experiences I have been able to enjoy and be a part of. The support and recognition we have received is something we could only have dreamed of at the start of this journey, and I will continue to admire Alex’s unwavering passion and drive to achieve what some deem to be impossible. Thank you to Alex for her support, some of the best memories, and for always being the ultimate cheerleader!

I know the Mintridge Team and The Foundation will continue to take on the world and spread the Mintridge Magic every step of the way.
