THE SMITH SHIELD
The Shield has been created by the Mintridge team to honour our former colleague, Katie Smith who left the Foundation in 2024. Katie’s zeal, passion, positivity and joy is quite simply irreplaceable and we wanted to ensure that her legacy lives on. We hope that this award will do just that. Each year, the shield will be presented to a Primary School Student that has been through one of our Mintridge Mentoring Programmes and has demonstrated zeal, passion, positivity and joy - they are our SMITHSTAR!
