Big Hits & Big Dreams: Professional Player, Stevie Eskinazi Brings Cricket To Hazel Leys Academy

On the 10th February 2025, Team Mintridge were warmly welcomed back to Hazel Leys Academy for a Bronze Programme with Stevie Eskinazi.  Although not cricketing weather, Stevie managed to do coaching sessions indoors with all year groups, focussing on catching and fielding skills.  Stevie showed the children how to always be ready to catch and move quickly.  After 4 sessions in the morning for Years 3 to 6, Stevie then made his way to do a presentation to Years 5 and 6 about his cricketing journey, and the countries that he has travelled to through sport. There were lots of questions for Stevie!

Why have you got Lili on your shirt?
When did you start playing cricket?
Who supported you the most?
Why has your shirt got Hula Hoops on it?

After a break for lunch and more autograph card signing, it was then time for coaching Reception, Years 1 and 2.

All in all another wonderful day at Hazel Leys, and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.
